Al-Anon is a fellowship for friends and relatives who are being affected by another person’s drinking. At our Al-Anon meetings, which are held daily in the greater Winston-Salem region (WSAIS covers Forsyth, Davie, Iredell, Rockingham, Surry, and Yadkin counties, and part of Davidson County), you will find the support and friendship that we have found.
** Note: This website is here to provide our local Al-Anon information. If you need to talk to someone or get more information, please call our telephone answering service at 336-723-1452. **
At meetings members share their experience, strength and hope on different topics. We have found that our lives improve as we begin to apply the Al-Anon principles, using the tools of our program; the 12 Steps, the 12 Traditions, the Serenity Prayer, our slogans and our literature. We are not a religious program, nor do we give advice or discuss religion, treatment programs or the like.
Rather, Al-Anon is a spiritual program in which people are given room to find a Higher Power or the God of their own understanding, an essential part of recovery from the effects of being around the disease of alcoholism.
Most important, in Al-Anon, your anonymity is protected at all times.
You may reach our answering service at (336) 723-1452.
There is an option to have an Al-Anon member return your call.
